Route 3 ramp to WB 270 shutting down from June 18 through July 9 (EDITED)

Posted: 2014/06/14 in construction, IDOT

UPDATE 6/18/14 at 09:44: IDOT has now announced that the closures will now go from June 18 through July 9 as of this morning.

IDOT announced that starting on June 18 and going until July 3, the ramp from Route 3 to westbound I-270 will be shutting down for 15 days to reconstruct the ramp. (Read the update above – KH.)

For the people from both Granite City and the River Bend, alternate means must be done to access westbound 270. Access to 270 may be done from either Old Alton Road, Route 111, Route 203, or the 255 exits. Please keep in mind that the Clark Bridge work is still ongoing and the lane closures from that project last next week as well, and there is also work going on 255 both north and south of 270.

Last year, the ramp was moved from the right to the left on northbound Route 3.
